These kids are now eating well - they are finally onto real dog food, although mixed and softened still with goats milk and yogurt

 ...and then we are content,

well fed and sleepy...

 and now we are learning to play...


Mom is still important, even tho its getting crowded in there ...

 But ... this is more filling - and now we are getting the hang of it!!!

 

and we even enjoyed having some company!!!

3 weeks old now!

Now three weeks and getting bigger all the time!   Sorry for the odd colouring of these photos - my camera seems to have a mind of its own with regard to settings!!!

Now 2 weeks old...

and getting bigger, in spite of the fact that Lola hasn't got enough milk to feed them all!

They're Here!

Lola was starting to look a bit like a beached whale, and getting very uncomfortable.  On Friday night, we knew it would not be much longer!







Joan arrived from the mainland to be with her girl at 11:30 AM, and at 12:15 PM Saturday morning, the first puppy arrived, followed by 4 more in just a few hours.
We had Blue boy, Pink girl, Brown boy, Orange Boy and Purple Girl.  We thought we were done, by 5:44 PM... 

 

 But no ... Lola had surprises in store! 

At 12:35 AM - 12 hours after she started, she delivered another puppy - Green girl had arrived... and then we thought we really were done - but yet! The next morning, at 11 AM - more than 22 hours from the first birth, Lola surprised us with one more healthy puppy - Yellow girl!

Bright eyes!  Lola happy she is done!
